Allocated lot
Absolute Black

Quiet black for a tight townhouse

Absolute Black on a narrow galley. No wild movement, which is what we wanted in 11 feet of kitchen. Polish is even. One slab had a faint pit we cut around. Fine. Delivery into Brooklyn was less painful than I braced for.

Allocated lot
Astra White

Cut clean. No drama on the miters.

Fabricator here. Polished 3cm, mitered reception and a long bar. Edges took a crisp arris, no spall. Vein lined up across eight slabs better than the last white we ran from another yard. I’ll spec this lot again.

Allocated lot
Star Galaxy

Granite kitchen, gold flecks and all

Client asked for “that sparkly black granite from the 90s but nicer.” Star Galaxy is basically that, and they were thrilled. Heavy, so watch the cabinets. One corner chipped on unload — we had enough extra to recut. Stone is what it is. Honest lot.

Allocated lot
Tundra Gray

Outdoor kitchen still looks like stone, not plastic

Tundra on an outdoor kitchen in full sun. I was sure it would go dead and chalky. Six months in, it still has that soft grey depth. We sealed it once. Clients keep asking what it is, which is the whole point.
